Dear JNF family,

Today marks two years since one of the worst tragedies in the history of the state of Israel - the Carmel fire, which took the lives of 44 people. Since then there have been many fires. Israel fire and rescue services have responded to more then 150,000 calls: home fires, forest fires, motor vehicle accidents, terror and rocket attacks and so much more. Although our brave fire fighters have been long forgotten by the press, we, you, JNF, our family has not forgotten them for one second. Today is a time to reflect and remember. To remember the ones who have lost their lives. To reflect on what we have done and on what we still can do.

Over the last two years, together we have made Israel a safer place. The new fire trucks, equipment, scouts program fire stations and so much more have made a crucial difference in Israel Every fire fighter in Israel knows who JNF is – and what JNF has done for Israel.

Let’s take a minute to stop and remember, Elad Riven, Uri Samindiev and Dani Chayat – the three fire fighters who sacrificed their lives in an attempt to save others. Let’s commit to the future together – to make sure another tragedy like this can never and will never happen again.

Together we are making a difference each and every day!!! Thank you for being part of Israel's fire fighters.

Toda Raba.
