JNF Announces First Golf Mission to Israel

July 10, 2013 – New York, NY – Can’t make it to the PGA but dreamed of playing on a professional-style golf tournament? Join Jewish National Fund’s (JNF) first-ever International Golf Mission to Israel October 10-15, 2013. It will feature the exciting finale of The Herzl Tour -- a cross-country tournament taking place now -- where the winning teams from four cities across the United States will compete in the EL AL Cup to determine the JNF Champions at the Caesarea Golf Club.  All other Golf Mission participants will have the opportunity to play in their own tournament, alongside those competing for the EL AL Cup.
Everyone, including all Herzl Tour members, are invited to participate in the mission. In addition to two days of golf at the Caesarea Golf Club, the mission will tour the popular sights of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, as well as enjoy a hot air balloon ride and winery trip in the Negev. Participants will witness the transformation of the Negev Desert under JNF’s Blueprint Negev campaign, and see the difference that the Sderot Indoor Recreation Center has made in a community that is often besieged with rocket attacks.

“I am honored to be chairing the first-ever JNF golf mission to Israel,” said Aaron Tucker, Golf Mission Chair and Central New Jersey Board member. “For those of us competing for the El Al Cup, it’s as though we are playing to win a golf ‘major’. Golfers don’t have many chances like this, and to couple it with helping Israel, makes it even more special.”

The land only price based on double occupancy is $3,325. There is a single supplement of $742, as well as an optional day trip to Masada and the Dead Sea for $135.
